Our Small Business Management Program is designed to equip entrepreneurs and small business owners with the leadership, marketing, financial, and operational expertise needed to grow and sustain their businesses. Through a focused six-week curriculum, participants will gain hands-on experience and actionable insights across critical business disciplines.

Week 1: Leadership

Week 3: Data
In today’s fast-paced world, data flows rapidly and holds the potential to shape your business’s future. This course will teach you how to harness and interpret data effectively, transforming it into compelling stories that drive informed decision-making. You’ll learn how to identify the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to your business, ensuring your strategy leads to measurable success. By building a solid data foundation, you can pave the way for sustainable growth and optimized performance.
Brett Linn of The Hinesight Group brings expertise in C-level finance and accounting, with a talent for leveraging business analytics to help companies develop strategic growth plans. His experience spans both new business development and evaluating legacy processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and improved ROI. With a Business Finance degree from Millikin University, Brett is well-equipped to guide organizations toward financial success.
Week 4: Insurance
Understanding and managing your business’s insurance needs is crucial for long-term success and risk mitigation. This course will guide you through evaluating your current insurance coverage, ensuring it aligns with your evolving business goals, and identifying potential gaps. You’ll learn the importance of having a well-structured buy/sell agreement with proper funding through life and disability insurance. Additionally, we’ll discuss the benefits of working with insurance specialists to craft tailored solutions and the value of regular insurance program reviews to keep your business protected and adaptable.

Week 5: Human Resources

While not exhaustive, the material will highlight critical areas to help you create a compliant and supportive work environment. Week 6: Legal

You’ll gain insights into crafting effective legal strategies that protect your business and support its long-term goals. Learn best practices for working with legal counsel to navigate complex situations and ensure your company remains compliant and well-positioned for success.
